"I have been fortunate to attend several of the Freedom Design seating educational programs, and I am very impressed with how advanced and progressive the new program is over the old. Missy Ball, PT has done extensive research into the latest concepts of positioning and mobility such as, assessing how to identify and how to diminish adverse stimuli, how to position with sensory integration in mine, how to position to optimize respiratory capacity, how to maximize function, with security. This program discusses many advanced ideas but Missy puts it into realistic "how to" applications. Besides this new program EasyStand has joined to offer a new program looking at the cognitive, as well as the physical benefits of position change. This is a program looking at the research supporting the benefits of position change on physical health, but also as important, the developmental benefits facilitated through better visual field, better play accessibility and better educational opportunities.
